The 1HXC is ideal for 2nd and 3rd (section) parts without loss of upper the register. It is designed for a slightly darker, vibrant and rich Symphonic sound. If you like to  use more' lip engagement' into the cup the 1HXC is for you. The rim is the same rim as the 1HX but it is now mated to the 1HC cup. The 1HXC is available in the #3 and #24 Backbore.

The #3 Backbore will be less resistant then the #24. Both are very open and require a strong player.
